THE FOOD

Chef inspired Creations

A huge part of the All-Inclusive experience included in all our pricing, is THE FOOD. Our chefs have carefully planned your meals for the duration of the trip, saving you the hassle of deciding what to eat every day. Just sit and relax as meals are brought straight to your table. No menu, no ordering, no problem.

Along with a variety of fresh locally-grown fruits and vegetables, Costa Rican cuisine traditionally consists of primarily fish, chicken and beef entrees. However, with prior notice to your arrival, we can accommodate any food allergies and/or dietary restrictions.

Meet your family and friends in the open-air dining area for breakfast, lunch and dinner.. But,don’t be surprised when the kitchen staff bring an afternoon snack, such as chips and fresh guacamole. Our guests continue to be surprised and pleased with the variety and delectable taste of all the meals. In fact, most guests claim the exquisite cuisine as one of the highlights of their trip!

The All-Inclusive Experience

Our all inclusive vacation rates include alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. Get to know your bartenders, Gabriel and Ronaldo, as they mix tropical creations and classic cocktails for you all day. Enjoy a homemade piña colada in the pool, or a milkshake to cool off after a warm day of zip-lining through the jungle. Through out all Barefoot Villas, the refrigerators are stocked with fruit juices and plenty of Costa Rica’s own “Imperial” beer, served cold and always refreshing.

Do I need to tip after every meal?

Although tipping is optional, guests typically do not tip throughout the week. Our staff works very hard to make your stay at any Barefoot Vacation Villas as stress free as possible. Therefore, if you feel inclined to tip the staff at the end of your stay, it is very much appreciated. Tips may be given to the on-site manager, Guillermo, to distribute to the staff.

“The whole week was so amazing and the staff were a huge part of that. The food was fabulous and they accommodated food allergies perfectly.”

Laura Stastny (Villa Cascada Guest)

The Costa Rican dishes were delicious! The shrimp and beef kabobs the first night set a high bar of tastiness. Anything with shrimp was devoured (cooked to perfection). Everyone loved the tortilla soup. Of all the meals, I think breakfast was especially popular — and the beans and rice with shredded beef at breakfast were yummy. The fresh local fruit was incredible. I am still drooling thinking of that pineapple! My sister-in-law especially appreciated that there were so many “native” dishes and that the menu wasn’t just typical North American fare.

Doris and Hermon went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of. My husband is still talking about how delicious the was food was.
